Objective

The project web page acts as a public outreach campaign to inform the public of the project and its purpose and goals. It is our goal to minimize inconvenience and provide up-to-date information to highway users, businesses, and neighborhoods that abut, or are serviced by, the highways that comprise the project.

Project Scope

The scope of work consists of the reconstruction of the existing T-intersection at Kamehameha Highway and Kahekili Highway into a roundabout. The project includes the reconstruction of AC pavement; removing existing pavement, guardrails, and trees; constructing curbs, gutters, and sidewalk, Portland cement concrete truck apron and bus bay pads, and retaining walls; installing guardrails, street lighting, geotextiles, signs and pavement markings; relocating bus shelters; modifying drainage system culverts and inlets; adjusting and relocating utilities; cleaning existing culverts cold planning; erosion control; and traffic control.

Work being done for: State of Hawaii, DOT – Highways Devision

Location: Intersection of Kamehameha and Kahekili Highway

MIRA Image Construction, LLC will be constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Kamehameha and Kahekili Highway.

We will be working on Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Should you have any issues regarding the construction, please contact our on-site supervisor, Sam Cook, at 808-590-8493.
